Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MIEM LLC, doing business as Apexia Living (“Apexia Living,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the iOS mobile application Plain Jumper: Retro Edition (the “App”), distributed through the Apple App Store for use on iPhone and iPad.
The App is a casual single-player game. It does not require account creation, registration, or login. The information described below is collected automatically through the App and through the third-party services we use to operate, analyze, and monetize it.
1. Who we are; how to contact us
Controller / business: MIEM LLC dba Apexia Living
Privacy contact: admin@apexialiving.com
You may contact us at the email above to exercise any privacy right described in this policy or to ask questions about our practices.
2. What information we collect
Because the App has no login, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying account information. We collect or receive the following categories of information automatically:
2.1 Device identifiers and technical data
- Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) — a per-device advertising identifier provided by iOS. Under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, the IDFA is only available to the App and our advertising partners if you grant the App permission to track via the system prompt. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track,” the IDFA is zeroed out and is not shared.
- Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) — a per-device, per-developer identifier used for first-party analytics and crash diagnostics. The IDFV cannot be used to track you across other developers’ apps.
- IP address (typically truncated for analytics).
- Device model, operating system version, language, region, time zone, and similar device/configuration information.
2.2 Gameplay and usage data
- Crash and diagnostic logs — error messages, stack traces, and basic device state at the time of a crash, used to diagnose and fix issues.
- In-app events and usage analytics — for example, level starts and completions, session duration, App version, and similar interaction events.
2.3 Advertising data
- Ad impression and engagement data — for example, that an ad was shown, viewed, or clicked, and limited contextual information about the App and device. Personalized advertising additionally relies on your IDFA (only when you have granted ATT permission) and signals provided by our advertising partner.
We do not intentionally collect:
- account credentials (none required),
- precise location data,
- contacts, photos, microphone, or camera content,
- HealthKit, HomeKit, or other Apple framework data requiring user permission (we do not request these permissions),
- payment information (the App is free; we do not currently use Stripe or any other payment processor in the App; any future in-app purchases are processed by Apple, and Apexia Living does not receive your payment card information),
- health, biometric, or other sensitive personal information.
If we add features in the future that change the data we collect (for example, leaderboards, in-app purchases, or push notifications), we will update this policy and provide reasonable notice.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the App;
- diagnose crashes, debug issues, and improve stability and performance;
- understand how the App is used (level difficulty, session length, retention) so we can improve gameplay;
- serve and measure advertising, including, where lawful and where you have granted ATT permission, personalized advertising via AppLovin;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Use;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
Lawful bases under GDPR and UK GDPR. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — for measuring and improving the App, securing it, and serving non-personalized ads (we have balanced these interests against your rights);
- Consent — for personalized advertising and any non-essential analytics, where required by applicable law (e.g., Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive in the EU; PECR in the UK). On iOS, this consent is collected through Apple’s ATT prompt and, where applicable, an additional in-App consent management mechanism. You may withdraw consent at any time;
- Legal obligation — for compliance with applicable law.
4. Who we share information with
We share the categories of information described above with the following third parties. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
| Recipient | What we share | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Inc. (App Store, App Analytics if enabled) — apple.com/legal/privacy | App Store transaction data; aggregated, non-identifying App Analytics if you have opted in to share with developers in iOS Settings | App distribution, payment processing for any future in-app purchases, optional aggregated analytics |
| Google LLC (Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics if used) — policies.google.com/privacy | IDFV, device identifiers, IP address, App usage events, crash data | Analytics and performance / crash monitoring |
| AppLovin Corp. (AppLovin MAX mediation and demand partners) — applovin.com/privacy | IDFA (only when ATT permission is granted), IP address, device and ad signals, ad engagement events | Mobile advertising and monetization, including, where permitted, personalized ads |
We may also share information:
- with service providers and contractors who help us operate the App (for example, hosting, error reporting), bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
- in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets);
- when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property of Apexia Living or others.
We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of third-party advertising via AppLovin may, however, qualify as “sharing” or “selling” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA when ads are personalized — see Section 8 below for your opt-out rights.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The App does not use cookies in the way a website does. It does use mobile advertising and analytics SDKs (Apple, Google, AppLovin), which rely on device identifiers (such as IDFA and IDFV) and on-device storage. You can manage these through your iOS device settings (see Section 7).
6. International data transfers
Apexia Living is based in the United States. Our service providers may also process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the App from the EEA, the UK, Canada, or another jurisdiction with data-export rules, your information will be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may not offer the same level of protection as your home jurisdiction.
Where required by law, we and our service providers rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and equivalent mechanisms for other jurisdictions. You may contact admin@apexialiving.com to request more information about the safeguards we use.
7. Your choices and controls
7.1 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
iOS will present an ATT prompt asking whether you allow the App to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you select “Ask App Not to Track,” the App and our advertising partners will not receive your IDFA, and personalized advertising will not be available. You can review or change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (per-app), or disable ATT prompts globally in the same menu.
7.2 Personalized Apple ads
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising and turn off Personalized Ads to opt out of Apple-served personalized advertising.
7.3 Apple App Analytics
If you have enabled “Share With App Developers” in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share aggregated, non-identifying analytics about your use of the App with us. You can opt out at any time in the same menu.
7.4 Advertising-partner controls
- AppLovin opt-out and rights requests: See applovin.com/privacy.
- Google Analytics for Firebase: Managed through your iOS settings above and any in-App consent options we provide.
7.5 Uninstalling the App
You can stop all data collection by the App by uninstalling it from your device.
8. Your privacy rights
We recognize and honor the privacy rights described below. To exercise any right, contact admin@apexialiving.com with enough information for us to verify your request (for example, your IDFV or IDFA if you would like us to delete information associated with it).
8.1 Rights under GDPR (EEA) and UK GDPR
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you,
- rectify inaccurate data,
- erase your data (“right to be forgotten”),
- restrict processing,
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing,
- portability for data you have provided to us,
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent,
- lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk).
8.2 Rights under CCPA / CPRA (California)
California residents have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, the sources, the business or commercial purpose, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared;
- delete personal information we have collected from you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA), including for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right);
- non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — for example, the use of your IDFA for personalized advertising via AppLovin — submit a request to admin@apexialiving.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” You may also exercise this right by sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where supported, or by selecting “Ask App Not to Track” in iOS’s ATT prompt.
Categories of personal information collected and “shared” in the last 12 months (CCPA categories): identifiers (e.g., IDFA, IDFV, IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (App usage events, crash logs); inferences (limited, derived from usage). Sources: the App and the device. Business purposes: operating the App, analytics, advertising, security and fraud prevention. Third parties for “sharing”: Apple, Google, AppLovin (advertising and analytics partners).
8.3 Rights under PIPEDA (Canada)
Canadian residents may request access to and correction of their personal information and may withdraw consent (subject to legal and contractual restrictions). You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
8.4 Other jurisdictions
If you reside elsewhere, you may have similar rights under local law. Contact admin@apexialiving.com and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
8.5 Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification of the agent’s authority.
9. Data retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Crash and diagnostic logs: typically up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymized.
- Aggregate or de-identified analytics: retained on a rolling basis (e.g., 14 months for Google Analytics user-level data, in accordance with our configuration), and indefinitely in aggregate form.
- Advertising data held by AppLovin and Google: retained per their respective policies and your device-level controls.
- Apple App Store data: retained by Apple per Apple’s policies.
We may retain limited information for longer when required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for network communication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact admin@apexialiving.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by an in-App notice). Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
